back to blogging/ resurrection Sunday/ irresistible grace
well this is the asianbeat, and its been almost forever since i last blogged. i made my own blog profile, and will every once and a while work on the palmer/weinburg blogsite.
Today is Resurrection Sunday and for me it was a great reminder of Christ's work on the cross. I haven't realized until going over Christ Resurrection in theology, that w/o Christ's resurrection that so many things wouldn't be possible in the Christian life. If Christ didn't rise we would be still dead in our sins, because Christ would be dead. And if Christ remains dead, then we would have no chance in the world to become alive. It is by God's marvelous plan that Christ rised on the third day and because of that, his sheep were made and are made alive in Him. Praise be to God for His perfect plan, and for the love which He gave to us in sending His Son, to die for believers, conqueror sin, and resurrect from the grave. And today, we have the Holy Spirit who prompts believers and convicts of sin. And the Holy Spirit is alive and regenerating everyday!
The conclusions of the Arminien and Calvinistic views are what hit me the most in todays message:
A: God Fails,
C: God suceedes
and a statement that Pastor Sean made, that I believe is very true, is that if people choose to be saved, and can go against the will of God, then praying for believers is useless. And i never thought of it that way, but it's true. If God doesn't save, then praying for someone's salvation will always be in vain. And so that was what caught my attention in today's message, and it's also encouraging to know that the Spirit is alive and regenerating this very moment. Praise be to God.
